A short course based on some chapters of this book was offered to graduate students at IIT Delhi and was well received. We consider that despite the unavoidable mathemati­ cal nature of the present book, the comparison of experimental results with theory throughout and the description of fabrication technology (Appen­ dixes A and B) should make its appeal universal. LEONARDO ÁNGEL OYOLA nació en Buenos Aires en 1973. Es licenciado en Ciencias de la Comunicación y ha trabajado como bibliotecario, docente y crítico de cine. Su primera novela, Siete & el Tigre Harapiento, obtuvo la tercera mención del Premio Clarín-Alfaguara 2004 y fue publicada en Argentina por la editorial Gárgola (2005). Sus cuentos Matador y Animetal forman parte de antologías policiales y de nuevos autores argentinos. Su obra más reciente es Gólgota, novela editada por Editorial Salto de Página.
